Appoint Your Days

Living Intentionally for God's Purposes

We often drift through our days reacting—letting circumstances, emotions, or the demands of others set the course. But this message flips that completely. Instead of being ruled by the day, we are called to rule over it by God's design. Your days don't have to be random. They can be appointed—set apart, named with purpose, and handed over to the One who gave them to you.

I recently read a quote that struck me deeply: "Don't let your days define your life—let your life in Christ define your days." That truth comes alive in Psalm 90. Moses, who lived roughly 400 years before David, wrote this psalm as a prayer during Israel's wilderness journey. His plea wasn't for more time—it was for wisdom in how to use it. "Teach us to number our days" isn't about counting them up—it's about making them count.

When we rise and appoint our days to God, we are doing more than making a to-do list. We are making a declaration: This day belongs to You, Lord. Use it. Use me. Let my choices reflect Your purpose. Whether it's a day of rest, of work, of healing, or of standing firm in battle—God is in it when we give it to Him.

Today I Confess

I will not drift through today—I will appoint it. I set this day apart for the Lord, and I choose to walk with purpose, wisdom, and intention. My time is not my own. It is a gift, and I will use it to fulfill His calling on my life.
