Breaking Bread: The Power of Communion
Rediscovering the Strength and Healing in the Lord's Supper
Let me tell you why I believe the holy Communion is more powerful than any medicine, medical procedure, antibiotic, or chemotherapy. The world has spent centuries searching for a so-called "fountain of youth," but I believe we've had access to the real one all along. Every time we partake of Communion, we are allowing the life of Jesus to flow through us, renewing our youth like the eagle's (Ps. 103:5). The reality is, since Adam's sin, the earth has been under a divine judgment—aging, disease, and death are all part of that curse. But God never intended for His children to suffer any of it. That's why He sent His Son to bear our sins and sicknesses on the cross. Through the holy Communion, He gave us a way to escape the effects of this fallen world. The early church understood this truth, which is why they broke bread "from house to house" (Acts 2:46). When they gathered on Sundays, it wasn't just to hear preaching—their main purpose was to break bread (Acts 20:7). They knew the power of the Lord's Supper, and they partook of it regularly, receiving divine health and strength. Meanwhile, today's church has been robbed of this revelation! If believers truly grasped the magnitude of the power contained in Communion, they would be running to the Lord's Table as often as possible, receiving His life and wholeness. It's time to wake up! While the world grows weaker and sicker, we should be getting stronger and healthier through the supernatural power of Communion.
Today I Confess
Every time I receive communion, I remember Jesus' victory. His body and blood weren't just symbols—they're my source of life and wholeness.
