Empowered from Within
God's Purpose, God's Power, Your Surrender
There's something so comforting in knowing we're not doing life alone or trying to figure out how to please God by sheer willpower. "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13 NKJV). This verse reminds us that it's God Himself who is working inside us—not just giving us strength, but actually shaping our desires and stirring up the motivation to live out His will. We don't have to muster up holiness or chase purpose on our own. It's His Spirit prompting both the desire and the ability. When we surrender to God, He doesn't just point us in the right direction and say "go." He walks with us, changes our hearts, and makes us want what He wants. That means even when we feel weak or unsure, He's still working—behind the scenes, within our hearts—aligning our will with His. That's how grace works: it doesn't just forgive us, it empowers us to live the life we were created for. What a relief to know He's more committed to our growth than we are. This takes the pressure off. We're not striving for approval—we're cooperating with the One who already loves us and is working everything out for our good and His glory. So when you feel that nudge to do something good, speak life, or show love, don't dismiss it. That's God working in you, moving you toward His beautiful purpose. Trust Him. He knows what He's doing.
