God Is Your Refuge from Evil
A Safe Place in Troubling Times
When life feels like it's closing in, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by what could go wrong. But God's Word gives us this comforting truth: "The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (Psalm 18:2 NKJV). You're not just walking through life unprotected—you have a refuge, a place where the storms can't reach you.
There have been seasons when I felt surrounded by negativity, like everything was against me. In those times, I've learned to remind myself that God is not just with me—He is my refuge. Instead of letting fear take the lead, I choose to step into that safe place of trust, knowing that He surrounds me like a fortress.
If you're feeling attacked or vulnerable today, take a moment to breathe and declare that God is your refuge. Lean into Him, knowing He is a stronghold that won't be shaken. You don't have to handle the battle alone—He's fighting for you.
Today I Confess
I dwell in the shelter of the Most High. No evil can overtake me, because God is my refuge and my defender.
