Forgiveness and Healing Go Hand-in-Hand

You Can't Receive Healing if You Don't Believe You're Forgiven

When Jesus told the paralyzed man that his sins were forgiven, it startled the religious crowd—but it met the deepest need of the man's heart. Before Jesus ever told him to rise and walk, He spoke the words that would restore his soul: "Son, your sins are forgiven." This wasn't just a spiritual statement—it was the foundation for his physical healing. Forgiveness wasn't an afterthought; it was the starting point. And it still is. The truth is, many people struggle to receive healing or breakthrough because deep down, they don't believe they're fully forgiven. But Jesus has already paid for it all—your sin and your sickness—so you can walk in wholeness.

As children of the King, we are not only forgiven—we carry His authority. Jesus said, "That you may know the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins…" then turned to the man and healed him completely. If Christ is in us, then that same power to declare freedom and healing is within us, too. The enemy wants us to stay focused on our past, on our guilt, on where we've failed. But the truth of the gospel is that your forgiveness is settled, final, and eternal. You are no longer marked by what you've done—you're marked by what Jesus has done. And that changes everything. When your heart believes this, your body follows. Your mind clears. Your soul finds peace. And your life begins to reflect the full benefit of being a son or daughter of the Most High.

So today, let this be more than just another reminder—let it be your release. You don't have to punish yourself anymore. You don't have to wonder if God still holds anything against you. Jesus already declared it: "Your sins are forgiven you." That word "forgiven" in the Greek means sent away, released, dismissed. The weight is lifted. Now, like the man on the mat, rise up. Take your healing. Walk in the freedom that belongs to you because of the cross. If you can believe you're forgiven, you can receive the healing He's already made yours.

"When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, 'Son, your sins are forgiven you . . . But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins'—He said to the paralytic, 'I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.' Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, 'We never saw anything like this!'" – Mark 2:5, 10–12 (NKJV)

Today I Confess

I am fully forgiven, completely cleansed, and deeply loved. Because of Jesus, I receive the healing that is mine. I no longer carry guilt, shame, or condemnation—I walk free, healed, and whole in the name of Jesus.
