He's Still Knocking – A Personal Invitation from Jesus
Open the Door and Let Him In
This verse from Revelation 3:20 is one of the most personal, hope-filled promises in the Bible. Jesus isn't shouting from a distance, and He's not forcing His way into our lives. He's gently knocking—waiting for us to hear His voice and welcome Him in. That tells me something powerful: He's patient, He's near, and He desires relationship.
He's not just asking to stop by. He says, "I will come in and dine with him." That's fellowship. That's closeness. In biblical times, to eat with someone was to know them, to share life with them. Jesus wants to do the same with you and me—share life, bring peace, and be present in every detail of our day.
We don't have to get it all together first. The only thing we need to do is open the door. He's already made the first move by coming close and knocking. His voice is tender, and when we respond, everything changes. The pressure lifts. The loneliness fades. Peace steps in. That's what happens when Jesus comes to dinner.
Today I Confess
I am forgiven and restored. God is rewriting my story and using every broken piece for His glory.
