Love That Leads
Discipline Rooted in Relationship, Not Control
God doesn't lead us with fear—He leads us with love. And as parents, we're called to do the same. When discipline comes from a place of love instead of control, it nurtures trust and creates an environment where growth can flourish. Love that leads corrects but also restores.
Our children will mess up. We will too. But when we consistently respond with grace and truth, they begin to see correction not as rejection—but as protection. That's how our heavenly Father disciplines us: not to shame, but to shape us into who we're meant to be.
Let your love be the strongest voice in your home. Not permissiveness, but patience. Not harshness, but honor. When love leads, hearts stay open—and transformation becomes possible.
"Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I rebuke and discipline [showing them their faults and instructing them]; so be enthusiastic and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God's will]." — Revelation 3:19 AMP
Today I Confess
