Loved First
Resting in the Overflow of His Love
We don't have to earn God's forgiveness—it was already paid for through Jesus. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8 NKJV). When we understand that kind of love, it pulls us out of shame and draws us back into relationship with the Father. His forgiveness isn't a reward; it's a rescue. Living with that truth deep in your heart changes the way you see the world. When you're aware that you are completely loved, you stop expecting disappointment and start recognizing His goodness. "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…" (1 John 4:18 NKJV). His love opens doors, softens your steps, and strengthens your heart to expect good. That love is where it all starts. Before you can love others, walk in peace, or stand in faith, you've got to receive what He's pouring out. "We love Him because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19 NKJV). You don't have to figure it all out—just believe it, rest in it, and let that love become the overflow you give to others.
Today I Confess
I didn't earn His love—it found me first. Now I live loved, and I pour that love back into the world.
