Surrounded, But Never Alone
What You See Isn't All There Is
It's easy to be overwhelmed when trouble surrounds us—when bills are due, bad news hits, or our kids seem lost in a storm we can't calm. Like Elisha's servant, we might panic and cry, "What shall we do?" But faith invites us to see beyond the natural. "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them" (2 Kings 6:16). That's not wishful thinking—it's a glimpse into God's reality, where heaven's armies are never far and His presence is never absent. There are times when everything in the natural screams defeat, but the truth of God's Word declares victory. Elisha didn't just hope for help—he knew it was already there. He prayed that his servant's eyes would be opened, and suddenly, the mountain was filled with horses and chariots of fire. That same God—mighty in power and full of mercy—hasn't changed. Just because you can't see the help yet doesn't mean it isn't already surrounding you. The difference between fear and faith often comes down to vision. Ask the Lord to open your eyes, so you don't only see what's against you, but who is for you. Stand in peace, knowing heaven backs you up. No diagnosis, no debt, no danger is greater than the armies of God. "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV). Let your heart rest in this—you're surrounded by God's glory, not by defeat.
2 Kings 6:16 (NKJV) – "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
