The Gracious Gift of Righteousness
Why You Can Reign in Life Through Jesus, Not Your Own Efforts
So many believers wrestle with whether they deserve to be blessed, favored, or victorious. But that's the wrong question. The real question is—does Jesus deserve to be blessed, favored, and victorious? If you're in Him, then His standing is now yours. Righteousness is not a reward for effort; it's a gift of grace. God isn't measuring your worthiness based on how perfectly you perform—He sees you through the perfection of His Son. Righteousness means having right standing before God, and it's not something you can earn by being "good enough." It's a legal, grace-filled transfer that happened the moment you believed in Jesus. Jesus, who had no sin, became sin for you so that you could become the righteousness of God in Him. You are now as righteous as Jesus is—because it's His righteousness that clothes you, not your own. And what happens when you actually receive that truth? Romans 5:17 says you'll reign in life. That means you rise above addiction, fear, sickness, and depression. You don't reign because you've figured it all out—you reign because Jesus did. That's the power of the gift you've received. So walk in it. Own it. Let His righteousness empower your everyday life.
Today I Confess
I don't have to earn righteousness—it's a gift. I receive it with humility and walk boldly in who I am through Christ.
