Trust God, Not Man or Self-Effort
Finding Rest in His Faithfulness
It's easy to think that if we just work harder or plan better, things will finally fall into place. But when we rely solely on our own efforts or look to others for security, we're bound to feel weary and disappointed. The Bible reminds us, "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8 NKJV). True rest comes when we place our full trust in God, not in our own strength or the approval of others.
I've been there—trying to fix situations in my own way, only to end up more frustrated and exhausted. It's humbling to realize that my best efforts can't compare to what God can do. When I finally let go and let Him take the lead, I found a peace that striving never gave me. God's faithfulness far surpasses human ability.
Today, choose to trust God with your challenges. Release the need to figure it all out on your own. Trusting Him means surrendering control and allowing His wisdom to guide you. You'll find rest when you stop striving and start trusting.
Today I Confess
I rest in God's promises. His peace surrounds me, and I trust Him even when the path isn't clear.
