Prayer Over the Congregation

For the shepherd who carries his flock

Father, I lift every person who will gather with us today. I don't know what they are carrying — the grief they are hiding, the marriages that are struggling, the prodigals they are praying for. But You know. Let them rest in Your presence as they enter into worship today — wherever that gathering may be. Whether we meet in a building, a home, an open field, or under the open sky, You are not limited by walls. Let them leave not just having heard a teaching but having encountered You. Do what only You can do. Amen.
