Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup coconut flakes
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup dark raisins

Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, molasses, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

  3. 3

Add vanilla, salt, and milk, blending until smooth. Mix in eggs one at a time.

  4. 4

Slowly mix in flour, stirring until combined.

  5. 5

Fold in chocolate chips, coconut, oats, and pecans.

  6. 6

Chill dough for 30 minutes if you prefer a firmer texture.

  7. 7

Using a large round ice cream scoop, drop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  8. 8

Bake 9–11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.

  9. 9

Tip: Swap half the butter for coconut oil for a richer, chewier texture. Use a mix of dark and milk chocolate chips for layered flavor.
