Pan Cleaner
A salt, Coke, and Dawn dish soap formula that cuts through burnt-on grease and discoloration on the outside of pans.
The outside of pots and pans accumulates a layer of polymerized grease, carbonized food residue, and heat discoloration that is extremely difficult to remove with regular dish soap. This unusual but effective formula combines three different cleaning mechanisms to attack that buildup from multiple angles.
The phosphoric acid in Coke dissolves mineral deposits and breaks down carbonized residue. Salt provides mild abrasive action that lifts loosened particles without scratching most pan surfaces. Dawn dish soap — which is formulated specifically for cutting grease — provides the surfactant power to emulsify and remove the loosened fat and carbon deposits.
This cleaner is intended for the outside of pans where buildup occurs from heat and stovetop spills — not for the cooking interior. It works particularly well on stainless steel, enameled cast iron, and the outside of non-stick pans. Apply, let sit briefly, scrub, and rinse.
