Born Again: More Than a Moment

Why the New Birth Is a Total Transformation, Not Just a Decision

Unless someone has a regenerated spirit from God, they can only live out of their natural-born nature. You might look like a good person on the outside, but without the new birth, true goodness isn't even in reach. So many people claim they're born again, but their lives don't reflect the radical change Scripture describes. I believe it's because they haven't truly experienced the supernatural transformation Jesus spoke of—they've made a commitment, but not been made new. Being born again is not about attending church or saying a prayer. It's a spiritual rebirth where God gives us a new heart and a new spirit—where we're no longer dead inside but alive with His nature. It's not about religion; it's about life. Ezekiel describes it well—God removes our heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh. That's the miracle of the new birth: the Holy Spirit comes to live in us, shaping our desires, renewing our minds, and empowering us to walk in God's ways. We can't separate faith in Jesus from being born again. They happen together. The Holy Spirit connects us to Christ and makes us alive in Him. Without Jesus, there is no life. We become overcomers, not by our own strength, but because we've been made new and our faith is rooted in Him. That's the kind of change the Bible points to—a transformation so real, you can't help but live differently.

Today I Confess

Being born again wasn't just an event—it was a transformation. I now live from the Spirit, empowered by Christ in me.
