Faith Doesn't Flinch
When Giants Look Big, God's Promises Look Bigger
When we face situations that seem overwhelming, the natural mind wants to panic. That's what happened in Numbers 13:33: "There we saw the giants... and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." The Israelites let fear shape their identity and perspective. They forgot the promise God had already made to give them the land. That's what being carnally minded looks like—magnifying the problem and shrinking back. But two men, Joshua and Caleb, didn't flinch. They were spiritually minded and saw things through the lens of God's Word. Romans 8:6 says, "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Their peace didn't come from the absence of giants, but from the presence of a faithful God. They said, "We are well able to overcome it!" because they weren't measuring their strength—they were standing on His. Faith doesn't deny the battle—it just doesn't bow to fear. The spiritual mind keeps God's Word in front, even when the odds look impossible. Whether it's giants in a land or giants in your life, the outcome shifts when your mind agrees with heaven. Life and peace belong to those who choose to trust. Let the Word lead, and you'll never walk in defeat.
Today I Confess
Even in the face of pressure, I will not flinch. My faith is rooted in Jesus, and I will not back down from what He's promised.
