Only Believe In Him
Righteousness, Eternal Life, and the Power of Right Believing
Have you ever stopped to consider how simple and powerful belief truly is? Jesus Himself compared His own crucifixion to Moses lifting up the serpent in the wilderness—an act that brought healing and life to all who would look and believe. Jesus chose the cross so that anyone—not the perfect, not the qualified, not the righteous—but whoever believes in Him could receive the gift of eternal life. That's it. He didn't make it complicated. He made it accessible. Believing in Jesus isn't just about accepting that He existed—it's believing in what He did for you. It means trusting that all your sins were laid on Him and that all His righteousness was freely given to you (2 Corinthians 5:21). It's believing in the divine exchange that took place at the cross, where guilt was replaced with grace and death with life. Many people struggle with the idea that it could be that simple. But friend, the gospel is simple—and that's what makes it so powerful. Right believing leads to right living. You don't need to work harder to earn His love—you just need to believe in it. When you truly believe in what Jesus has done for you, fruit begins to grow in your life. Not forced, not manufactured—produced. Philippians 1:11 talks about "the fruits of righteousness… by Jesus Christ." These fruits—things like self-control, love, godliness—flow from a heart that knows it's been made clean. But when we forget we've been forgiven, we fall into striving, condemnation, and defeat (2 Peter 1:5–9). The key to transformation isn't more effort—it's more Jesus. So keep your eyes on Him, keep your faith in His finished work, and watch how your life begins to reflect the righteousness He's already given you. Only believe!
John 3:14–15 (NKJV) – "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
Today I Confess
I don't have to have it all figured out—I just believe. Jesus is enough, and I trust Him completely today.
