Seeing Through the Spirit, Not the Flesh

When Your Thoughts Align with God, Fear Has No Place

It's easy to see giants and feel small. The spies in Numbers 13:27–33 saw the same land, but their mindset shaped their response. Ten of them let fear lead, focusing on the strength of the enemy and how weak they seemed in comparison. "We were like grasshoppers in our own sight," they said. That's exactly what the carnal mind does—it agrees with fear, not with faith. It forgets who God is and what He's promised, and instead magnifies the problem. Joshua and Caleb saw with different eyes. They looked at the same giants but remembered what God had already spoken. They were spiritually minded—seeing beyond the natural and into the realm of what God could do. Romans 8:6 says, "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." They chose life, and their words reflected peace and confidence: "We are well able to overcome it." That's the kind of faith that pleases God. When we're spiritually minded, our thoughts don't bow to fear—they align with truth. Even when what we see looks impossible, we respond with what God has already said. The carnal mind sees obstacles and retreats; the spiritual mind sees promises and advances. It's not about denying the giants—it's about believing God is greater. That mindset brings peace, strength, and the courage to walk forward into every promise He's made.

Romans 8:6 (NKJV) – "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."

Today I Confess

God is near, and I am never alone. I choose to believe His Word and live in His truth.
