The Bread That Gives Life
Jesus Offered Himself So You Could Live Forever
Jesus didn't just talk about life—He is life. When He called Himself the "living bread," He wasn't just using a metaphor. He was telling us that real life—eternal, satisfying, and complete—can only be found in Him. "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever" (John 6:51 NKJV). His words are an invitation to not just believe in Him, but to partake of Him daily—through His Word, through faith, and through communion. When Jesus said the bread He gives is His flesh, He was pointing to the cross. He gave His body for the life of the world—sacrificing Himself so that we could be restored to the Father. "The bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." This is more than a reminder—it's a gift we're meant to receive over and over, a personal invitation to stay nourished in Him. Every time we take communion or meditate on what Jesus did, we're feeding our spirit with the only thing that truly satisfies. The world offers empty promises, but Jesus gave us Himself. And when we take Him in—by believing, remembering, and resting in what He accomplished—we walk in the kind of life that never fades.
Today I Confess
Jesus is my source of life. Through communion, I remember His sacrifice and receive His strength.
