Soul-Satisfying Bread

Choosing What Nourishes, Not What Fades

How often do we pour our time, energy, and money into things that never truly fill us? God's question through Isaiah still speaks today—why do we keep reaching for what doesn't satisfy? As New Testament believers, we have access to the Bread of Life Himself—Jesus. He invites us to stop chasing temporary things and instead "eat what is good" by receiving what He's already provided through the finished work of the cross. This invitation is beautifully pictured in communion. It's not just a tradition or a piece of bread—it's a choice to partake in what truly satisfies. In John 6:35, Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." We take communion to remember that He alone sustains our spirit, heals our body, and fills every empty place. So let your soul delight in the abundance of His presence. When we slow down, listen carefully, and truly partake of what Jesus offers, we're no longer spending our energy on things that fade. We're investing in the kind of nourishment that brings life—spirit, soul, and body.

Today I Confess

God is near, and I am never alone. I choose to believe His Word and live in His truth.
