Prayer for Joy and Gratitude

For the joy that runs deeper than happiness

Lord, I want the kind of joy that does not depend on circumstances. The kind that is already there before the good news arrives — because it is rooted in You and not in outcomes. Fill me with that joy today. And let gratitude be the lens through which I see my life. There is so much to be thankful for if I slow down enough to notice. Open my eyes. Amen.
