Most commercial all-purpose cleaners contain a long list of synthetic chemicals — surfactants, fragrances, preservatives, and disinfectants that linger on surfaces your family touches every day. This simple two-ingredient base of distilled vinegar and water cleans just as effectively for most household tasks without any of those concerns.

Distilled white vinegar is a mild acid that cuts through grease, dissolves mineral deposits, and disrupts the cell membranes of many common household bacteria. Lemon essential oil adds genuine cleaning power through its d-limonene content — a natural solvent that lifts grease and leaves surfaces bright. Tea tree oil contributes broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties that complement the vinegar's action.

Note: avoid using this spray on natural stone surfaces (marble, granite) and cast iron — the acidity of vinegar can damage these materials. For everything else — countertops, appliances, sinks, tiles, and glass — this spray works beautifully. Shake before each use as the oils will separate.

  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup distilled water
