Honey and Oat Soothing Face Mask
A gentle, calming mask for sensitive or irritated skin using ingredients from your kitchen.
This is my go-to mask for any day when my skin is feeling irritated, red, or dry. It's made entirely from food ingredients, so I know exactly what I'm putting on my face — no unpronounceable chemicals or synthetic fragrances that often trigger sensitive skin.
Colloidal oatmeal — finely ground oat flour — has been used as a skin treatment for centuries and has FDA approval as a skin protectant. It creates a barrier on the skin surface, reduces inflammation, and relieves itch. Honey is both moisturizing and antimicrobial, making it excellent for both dry skin and acne-prone skin.
This mask can be used weekly or whenever your skin needs soothing. Leave it on for a full fifteen to twenty minutes to get the full benefit.
