A highly bioavailable turmeric preparation that delivers anti-inflammatory benefits where they're needed.

Turmeric has been used as an anti-inflammatory remedy in Ayurvedic medicine for over 4,000 years, and modern research is increasingly validating its efficacy. Curcumin, turmeric's active compound, has been shown in clinical studies to reduce inflammatory markers and provide meaningful relief for arthritis, joint pain, and chronic inflammatory conditions.

The challenge with turmeric is bioavailability — curcumin is poorly absorbed from turmeric powder on its own. Two things dramatically increase absorption: black pepper (piperine in black pepper increases curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%) and a healthy fat (curcumin is fat-soluble and absorbs much better in the presence of fat). Golden paste combines turmeric with both, making a preparation that actually gets curcumin into your system.

Start with a small amount and increase gradually — turmeric can cause digestive upset at high doses in some people. Many people who use this consistently for arthritis or joint pain report meaningful improvement after four to six weeks.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup turmeric powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil or ghee
  • 1.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon for additional anti-inflammatory benefit

How to Use

  1. 1Combine turmeric and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2Stir continuously for seven to ten minutes until a thick paste forms.
  3. 3Remove from heat and allow to cool for five minutes.
  4. 4Add coconut oil or ghee and black pepper and stir thoroughly until combined.
  5. 5Store in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  6. 6Start with 1/4 teaspoon daily stirred into warm milk or food, gradually increasing to 1/2 to 1 teaspoon. Always take with food.
