Command Your Body, Don't Follow It

You Were Never Meant to Be Led by What You Feel

Your body makes a terrible leader but a wonderful servant. God created your body to obey the Spirit—not the other way around. Pain, fatigue, emotions, hunger, and habits are real, but they are not your ruler. You were born into a fallen world with a flesh that craves comfort, but you were born again into a Kingdom where the Spirit rules. When your body screams for control, remember: you have been given authority to speak to it and command it to align with God's truth. Jesus didn't let hunger, pain, or emotion lead His decisions. In the wilderness, when His flesh cried out after 40 days without food, He answered with the Word. He didn't follow His body—He led it. And now, as a son or daughter of the King, you are called to do the same. Don't let symptoms, cravings, or moods steer your life. Instead, declare: "Soul, bless the Lord. Body, submit to the Spirit. Emotions, you are not in charge today." There is power in your words when they're aligned with God's will. You don't have to feel healed to declare healing. You don't have to feel strong to walk in strength. Your faith is not led by symptoms—it's led by truth. So rise up. Speak to your flesh. Command it to come into agreement with the Spirit. You are not a slave to your body. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit, and that temple responds to the authority you've been given in Christ.

"Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!" Psalm 103:1 (NKJV)

Today I Confess

I command my body to submit to the Spirit of God. I will not follow my feelings—I will lead them. I speak health, peace, and strength over myself, and I declare that I walk by faith, not by sight or symptoms. My body is a servant, not a master.
