Stronger Together
The Power of Godly Friendship and Encouragement
There's something powerful about walking this faith journey with others who love the Lord. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." We weren't meant to do life alone. God created us for connection, for accountability, and for encouragement. When we come alongside one another in faith, we help each other grow stronger, sharper, and more focused on the things of God. Think about how iron sharpening iron works—it's not always gentle, but it's necessary. Sometimes it takes a friend speaking truth in love, praying alongside you, or simply reminding you of God's promises when your own faith feels a little shaky. That kind of sharpening doesn't tear down—it builds up. It strengthens our spirit and helps us reflect the light of Christ more clearly in our lives. I'm grateful for the people God has placed in my life to sharpen me, challenge me, and lift me up when I need it most. And I want to be that kind of friend too—one who encourages others to keep pressing in, keep believing, and keep growing in faith. Together, we become more effective, more joyful, and more radiant for His glory.
Today I Confess
I wasn't meant to walk alone. God designed us for unity, and together in love, we are stronger than anything we face apart.
