Truly Free

Letting Go of What Weighs Us Down to Live in the Freedom Jesus Paid For

There's a freedom the world tries to offer that still comes with chains—fear, guilt, shame, and striving. But Jesus doesn't just loosen our chains; He completely breaks them. When He sets us free, we are free in every sense of the word—body, mind, and spirit. That's a promise, not a feeling.

Sometimes what weighs us down isn't always sin—it can be worry, people's opinions, or even the pressure to perform. Hebrews reminds us to lay aside every weight, not just the obvious ones. When we do, we're able to run with endurance, not drained by what we were never meant to carry in the first place.

True freedom starts when we believe what Jesus said about us more than what life tries to tell us. If the Son has made you free, you're free indeed. Not halfway, not someday—right now. That freedom isn't just something we hope for; it's something we walk in.

Today I Confess

I am not half-free or barely forgiven—I am truly free. Shame, fear, and guilt no longer rule my life.
