What Actually Happened at the Cross?

He Took What We Carried So We Could Carry His Righteousness

What happened at the cross wasn't just symbolic—it was spiritual, physical, and deeply personal. Jesus didn't just die for our sins in theory; He became sin for us. "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)

In a vision, I saw how every sin and every consequence of sin wrapped itself around Jesus like a storm—fear, disease, condemnation, addiction. But Jesus didn't resist it. He took it into His own body. Willingly. Completely. He didn't flinch at the weight of it—He bore it all. Every sickness, every cancer, every heavy burden you and I could never carry, He took. "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses." (Matthew 8:17)

That one word—Himself—means we don't have to.

Jesus held on until every sin was judged and paid for. And when it was, He declared with power, "It is finished!" (John 19:30) Now it's our turn—to believe it, to receive it, and to stop living under the weight of what's already been carried. We don't need to keep dragging around guilt or shame. Jesus already bore the judgment.

When you confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that His sacrifice was enough, you step into the freedom He fought for. You are forgiven. You are righteous. You are free.

Today I Confess

I am forgiven and restored. God is rewriting my story and using every broken piece for His glory.
